The concept and use of the term “Trademen’s Entrance,” has long been done away with, especially in a town as politically correct as San Francisco. They are only subtly enforced in the most prestiguous of addressess. In the past, it was either a side or back door used by people bringing in goods. They were not allowed to use the front door of the house.
Therefore, the sign of this home just off Parnassus says “Trademen’s Entrance,” was surprise. It is curious that this building has kept this sign. I am sure that they could have removed or covered up this sign long ago. I was curious why it was left there.
