This Thanksgiving Day craft project is great for preschoolers! It teaches them to trace, cut, and color within the lines. They will sure be proud to see their craft placed at the dinner table.
You will need:
1 piece of construction paper
Depending on exactly how old your child is, have him or her cut the piece of construction paper in half. Then, fold one of the halves of paper in half. This folded piece will be the name card. After that have your child place their hand on the other half of the construction paper and trace it. When they are finished tracing, have them color in their hand print, turning it into a turkey. The thumb will be the head and the fingers will be the tail feathers. Cut out the hand turkey and glue it to the name card. Finally, have them, or help them write their name on the card. On Thanksgiving Day, place the cards at the table. Your preschooler is sure to be proud of their creation!
