Mountain View High School students who need a little help with their homework or who don’t understand a concept being taught can get free tutoring help at the MVHS Tutorial Center. Tutoring is available for every academic subject taught at MVHS. For some having the extra tutoring help is the difference between passing or failing the class.
The tutoring center is open daily from 7 a.m to 4 p.m. which gives students plenty of tutoring options including before and after school, during their free period, lunch, or brunch. Depending on how many students need help with a particular subject and concept, tutoring is conducted either on a one on one basis, or as a small group.
Tutors for the center are either peer tutors, college students, retired teachers, parents, or volunteers from the community. If you would like to volunteer as a tutor in the MVHS Tutorial Center, contact Volunteer Coordinator, George St. Clair at 650-940-4624.
