Seven Air Force veterans came forward on Monday with claims of UFO sightings. One of the alleged sightings happened near a Washington military base and apparently resulted in the shutting down of several nuclear missiles. Another in London was described as a glowing object that vanished when approached. Sightings happened between the 1960s and 1980s. The veterans are very firm that the story is true, despite intense criticism from the curator at the Air and Space museum.
Los Angeles, 1942
Mere weeks after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, a large round object was spotted over L.A.. It was assumed to be a strange Japanese plane and an immediate war-time black-out was issued. The vessel was bombarded with high explosive shells, which resulted in the death of six people, but no harm to the vessel. Officials later stated that it was a false alarm which was probably triggered by a weather balloon. The incident was named The Battle Of Los Angeles, and remains one of the best-documented UFO sightings to date.
The Rendlesham Forest Incident
This is one of the most significant military UFO encounters in history. The Rendlesham forest is near military airbases RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge. Both airbases were leased to the US Air Force at the time of the sightings, and this incident was mentioned by the Air Force veterans on Monday. The object was reported as being triangular and metallic in appearance. It glowed with a light that lit up the forest. Multiple witness accounts described it as being between two and three meters at the base. Officials claimed that it was a lighthouse many miles away. Though at a later date, ground traces and radioactivity were discovered in the forest to confirm something had been going on. In 2002, the British Ministry Of Defense released the Rendlesham file containing confirming documents and cases.
This incident is supported by one of the best photos ever taken of a triangle-shaped UFO. In April 1990, several groups of people, including policemen, spotted and reported a triangular object with lights glowing from underneath. After the initial sighting, more followed. After being confirmed by radar, the object was even chased by military jets on two separate occasions. Thousands of people reported sightings, each time the same type or the same aircraft.
Personally, I think that it is your decision on whether you believe in UFOs or extraterrestrials. I do not know if they are aliens, but they are Something. We believe in God, we read the bible. Most descriptions of alien craft match biblical descriptions of what angels rode. So… why not…
