A new club comes to Park Slope! Ultraviolet has been around for a few months but until this week it was only open Saturdays. Now, just in time for Halloween, they’re opening their doors every night of the week. To draw in new clientele they are having a Halloween bash, with free cover and plenty of prizes for the best costumes.
This new hotspot, which one Yelp reviewer compared to Miami’s Nikki Beach, is three floors and impeccably decorated. The color scheme is, not surprisingly, violet with plenty of chandeliers for a cool yet inviting feel. Ultraviolet is built in what was formerly an industrial building and all the charm of the 1920s is still visible in it’s architecture. There are high ceilings and exposed brick as well as plenty of modern touches, making it attractive to both those who prefer vintage and those who love modern.
Being new, they are still looking for live bands, DJ’s, and various artists who want to perform at their space. An employee, Deborah, posted on The Brooklynian that they would also like to attract event planners to the space. Jazz night was also mentioned, tying in with the building’s 1920s origins. Any interested artists should definitely check it out, along with local residents who might find this club turning into their new favorite evening hangout.
