Undercover Boss, Season 2, Episode 6 featured Chiquita CEO Fernando Aguirre Sunday night on CBS. The head honcho disguised himself, with the help of his wife, as Manuel, and tried to do the various blue collar jobs at his company. Season 2, Episode 6 of Undercover Boss showed just how inept Fernando Aguirre is with working around Chiquita machinery. This man really got humbled on national television but did show great appreciation and generosity to the workers he interacted with.
Chiquita CEO Fernando Aguirre Sees Lots of Lettuce Hit the Floor on Undercover Boss, Season 2, Episode 6
At a distribution center in the Boston area, Fernando, a distribution manager, shows “Manuel” the ropes of loading the boxes of bananas on pallets. When the Undercover Boss used a forklift to load the pallets, he showed he didn’t know what he was doing, despite claims otherwise (Fernando Aguirre said he trained on the forklift 45 minutes and felt comfy about running it with his “forklift certification”). The loads are backing up because of his ineptitude shown on the Season 2, Episode 6 airing.
At a Salinas, California processing center for salad, “Magic”, a Produce Dryer worker, showed Fernando Aguirre how to dry to the salad ingredients, which proved to be a very labor-intensive process with lots of fast-paced barrel lifting. The CEO was not moving fast enough, causing greens to spill all over. So he was sent to the packaging area, where he didn’t do much better with speed, as bags fell on the floor on Undercover Boss, Season 2, Episode 6. “Magic” didn’t appreciate Aguirre’s negative attitude. “Magic”, a family man, had to deal with a pay cut and reduction in rank despite being a very positive and fast worker.

Anna has bad knees from a car accident and complains about the lack of perks (i.e., no “Smoothie Days”) and expresses her dislike of bananas. They get along so well talking, that it causes them to get behind in work.
At a lettuce field in Salinas, Leo shows the Undercover Boss how to harvest lettuce in the two seconds required for each head. Aguirre’s too slow and causes production to really slow down. His harvesting mistakes potentially cause all the lettuce harvested by the others to be rejected. Leo works many hours, and misses his family in Arizona. None of the people Aguirre worked with gave him a real vote of confidence that he could do their jobs.
