Halloween is one of the most celebrated holidays, and perhaps one the most favorite of children and teenagers. It is a day that they get to dress up as a favorite character, an animal, be something scary, or perhaps be a future profession they one day want to be.
Kids and teenagers go trick-or-treating for many years, but it isn’t often the huge bag of candy that they remember. If you give them unique Halloween treats, that is what they will remember (along with the costume and parties they attend for the holiday).
Fun Halloween Bag
Fun and unique Halloween treats start with the bag! For your special trick-or-treater, get them a bag that you can fill with your special Halloween treats just for them. Don’t worry about it being huge, this is one they can keep and put with their Halloween goodies, not the one they will carry door-to-door for candy. Shopping at a local Halloween store, grocery store, dollar store, or even Wal-Mart will give you great options for the Halloween bag. Also check out online stores, and even your local Avon representative for fun options that your trick-or-treater’s friends would be envious of.
Don’t put in too much candy because your trick-or-treater will be getting plenty of loot when going door-to-door. Instead, add in some candy that you know they love, but really only use it as a “filler.”
Mardi Gras Beads
Mardi Gras Beads are fun and cheap, so this makes a great option for adding a bit of bling to the Halloween treats in the bag. It also can act as a filler and decorative use for the bag to put around the other fun Halloween treats. These can be found at most party stores, online party stores, and sometimes even the dollar store.
Framed Picture of their Favorite Vampire or Werewolf
For those trick-or-treaters that you personally know, give them something special that they’ll love to put on their dresser or desk. A framed picture of their favorite vampire or werewolf would be a great idea (and quite cheap too). Simply find a picture online of the vampire or werewolf (try a Google image search) in a large enough size, and print it out on your printer. Then either use an old frame that you have, or buy a cheap one from the dollar store or even Wal-Mart. Frame the picture, and wrap it up in orange and black tissue paper. They’ll love it! For an even better unique Halloween treat, give them a Twilight Barbie or figurine!
Lip balm is something that everyone can use, and is quite cheap. When these are on sale it is a good time to stock up. This can be added to a fun Halloween bag, or even given out in place of candy for trick-or-treaters. Check out Yes to Carrot’s Lip Butter that is Paraben free, and is made from all natural ingredients.
Kids love these Silly Bandz, and collect, wear, and trade them with all of their friends. This is a perfect unique Halloween treats for trick-or-treaters, and your child too! The Halloween Silly Bandz is a 24 pack for only $4.95 online and includes: Jack-O-Lanterns, Bats, Frankensteins, Spiders, Witches, Ghosts. Glow in the dark!
Many kids and teenagers that go trick-or-treating wear glow-in-the-dark products to make it safe for them. These help them to stay visible to people driving, and parents can keep an eye on them if they run off a little bit ahead of them. Glow sticks, glow necklaces, glow bracelets, and more can be found at party stores, Wal-Mart, the dollar store, and at online stores such as Windy City Novelties. This is a great addition to your kid’s special Halloween bag, and is also a good treat to give out to the neighborhood kids as well.
Everyone loves receiving money for special occasions (or any occasion). Putting in some money to your child’s special Halloween bag is a great option, and even handing out money to local kids is a kid-favorite too.
Temporary Tattoos can be found usually with Halloween candy at stores. There are some that come in little packages that you can hand out to trick-or-treaters, and put in your kid’s fun bag too. For the older kids, you could even get them a Henna tattoo pack for them to use for part of their costume, or for fun anytime of the year.
Halloween jewelry can be found by the Halloween candy usually too. This is a fun option that you can give out at the door, and also add to the special Halloween bag for your child. For older kids, maybe get them something a little nicer from the jewelry department (still usually quite affordable).
A flash light is a smart idea to add to your kid’s bag because then they can see where they are going in the dark when they are trick-or-treating. Cool Halloween flash lights are often available where other Halloween decorations are being sold in stores.
Candles and Candle Holders
There are so many fantastic Halloween and fall scented candles out there that this is a fun option to add to a teenager’s Halloween bag. There are also Halloween themed candle holders, tarts, and much more in this area of unique Halloween treats. Body sprays are also a good idea for the kids who want to smell good while trick-or-treating.
