Here is part two of the list of some especially interesting events, seminars and classes that are coming up in the next few weeks at Central Library.
Email Class – Now that you’ve written all this neat stuff, what do you do with it? You email it to publishers! Or at least your mother, and if you are really lucky she is also a publisher (call me, if this is the case). Learn the basics of email Nov 23rd at 1 pm or Dec 23rd at 7pm.
Kaplan: USMLE Practice test – If the writing thing doesn’t work out for you, you could always become a doctor. Take this United States Medical Licensiing Practice Examination to see how you’d likely do on the real test. October 23rd, 10 am.
Computer Basics – If medicine isn’t in your future, go back to the keyboard and brush up on your computer skills (blood is really gross anyways). One Thursday every month: Nov2nd, 7pm & Dec 2nd 1pm.
How to Flatten your Abs – At the library? Apparently this is for those of us who fail at all the above classes. At least we’ll have a washboard. Come to this class prepared to work out, on Oct 30th at 11:30 am.
Grant Seeking Basics – and if you can’t get your abs in shape, learn how to get a grant. Nov 4th, 4pm.
