The City of Mountain View Recreation Division has a couple of events coming up that are just for teenagers! During November, teens can take a road trip to check out a college they are interested in, or learn CPR and First Aid.
The first event, College Road Trip, will be held on November 12 and is for students in grades nine to twelve who are interested in attending either UC Santa Cruz or San Jose State University. Students who wish to attend will not miss a day of their high school classes because there is no school on November 12. Local high schools have it off as a teacher service day. A $48 fee for residents ($60 for non residents) includes transportation and lunch. Pick-up and drop-off will be in front of the Mountain View Community Center.
A CPR and First Aid training class will be held on November 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for teens age 12 and up. Those who successfully complete the course will earn a two year certification in infant, child, and adult CPR and first aid training. Cost is $79 for residents ($99 for non residents) and pre-registration is required.
Those interested in the college road trip or the CPR/First Aid class need to pre-register by calling 650-903-6331.
