I have good eyes, but last night at around midnight I was beginning to wonder if I needed glasses. You see I logged onto my addiction, Facebook. At first I did not notice anything peculiar about it, however the more and more I began to squint, the more it became obvious that Facebook once again took it upon themselves to make some changes; small changes that is. Pun intended.
The font has changed, and I absolutely hate it. I have been straining my eyes all day long just to read longer status updates, and it’s been a pain in the rear. I was hoping this was some sort of glitch on my PC at home, however here at work the font is also micro midgetised.
I was not the only one venting about the changes, others were posting in their statuses that they too hated how hard they had to squint in order to see what was going on. Granted I do not find the issue to be so huge, but I do find it to be annoying and bad for users eyes to consistently be squinting.
Apparently there are also tons of twitter updates about the new annoying micro font. Users stretching far and wide, and squinting like hell are hoping that Facebook reverts back to the original font, or gives users an update on how to enlarge it.
Most are already aware of holding the CTRL button and scrolling upward with their mouses wheel, however doing this cuts out some of your sidebar making you have to scroll from left to right to see your sidebars or applications.
I just hope they fix it, and put things back to normal.
