One of the things I love most about Associated Content is being able to write about things that I love and am interested in. Another thing I love is knowing that people are reading my content and hopefully helping them in some way. While I am still getting my feet wet here at Associated Content, I have recently learned a neat way to promote my articles.
Yahoo! Answers is the Answer
I decided to poke around on Yahoo! Answers one day and found that not only can I offer meaningful advice to a vast number of people, I can also promote my work. Since I am a featured Mental Health contributor, I started by answering questions in the mental health section at Yahoo! Answers. By doing this, I was able to find questions that relate to my area of expertise and provide a direct link to my article, thus, creating more page views.
Yahoo! Answers is set up on a point system. Each time you answer a question, you receive two points. While you cannot do anything with these points, it does give you bragging rights! If your answer is chosen as the best response, then you receive an additional ten points. The higher the points, the more clout you have! So far, I have been answering a few questions every couple of days. This has improved the number of page views quite a bit! My answers have also been chosen as the best answers on numerous occasions.
The very best thing I love about Yahoo! Answers is that I have a real opportunity to help others. There are literally millions of people networked within the Yahoo! Community and many of them turn to Yahoo! Answers in times of trouble. As someone who is interested in making a difference in others lives, this is a golden opportunity to do so. So, if you haven’t strolled over to Yahoo! Answers yet, give it try. There are tons of categories to explore and you are sure to find one that you have written about!
