Vero’s Mexican Restaurant is located in San Diego, California. I live near here and this place is pretty new. They opened in 2009 and they’re still going strong!
They’re located on the corner of a busy street so it’s hard to miss this place. When you drive on their major cross streets, you won’t be able to pass up this place! Parking is never a problem. I’ve never been here when it’s busy but every time I do come, parking is always available. I do advise that the restaurant is located on an awkward hill so your car may be parked at an angle. They have an area where parking is on a flat surface. To be parked directly in front of their store, you will need to park on top of a huge “hump.”
One thing I enjoy about this place are their special deals. They change frequently but the staff makes sure you’re aware of their deals before you order. You can usually see their deals displayed on a big white board that’s displayed near the front door. If they don’t have their white board then you can see papers all over the doors that have their deals. Either way, you can’t miss their deals either!
When you walk in, you’re immediately greeted by their staff. They’re always helpful and nice. They help you order by giving you a detailed description of what food you’re looking to order. Their rolled tacos and California burritos are amongst the most popular items on their menu. Their rolled tacos feature guacamole, cheese, lettuce and tomato. With every guacamole order, they give you the options of choosing American or Mexican guacamole. American guacamole has sour cream mixed in without onions, tomatoes or cilantro. Mexican guacamole doesn’t have the sour cream mixed in and has onions, tomatoes and cilantro. Whichever guacamole you choose, both are absolutely delicious. The California burrito features carne asada (or any meat of your choice), french fries with cheese. You can add guacamole to this burrito to double up on the taste factor. Other items on the menu include: menudo soup, carne asada burritos, fish tacos and ceviche.
If you’re dining in, you’ll be pleasantly satisfied. They can accommodate large parties since all of their tables can be pushed together. Another factor you’ll like are their unlimited free chips and salsa. You only get free chips and salsa if you dine in. If you dine out, salsa and chips are available for around $2. They have a big screen TV that features all San Diego Sports games.
If you’re craving Mexican food, specifically a California burrito or delicious rolled tacos, Vero’s Mexican Restaurant is your best option!
