With the success of the Bealtes Love show in Las Vegas; Cirque du Solie has put together a show for the artist that opened the door for rockers to perform in Vegas…Elvis Presley with a show dubbed Viva Elvis.
The soundtrack of the same name molds Elvis’ music with the sound of the early 21st century. The highlight of the album is Suspicious Minds, with the recording sounding like U2 is jamming with the late rock star. Elvis’ voice sticks out well on the tracks that is presented including Suspicious Minds and it would have been great to hear Elvis’ vocal on Memories, and You’ll Never Walk Alone; for though while I found the instrumental interludes pleasing to the ear the tracks do leave the listner wondering that something is missing without Presley’s vocal on them.
But other then that minor stumbling, I found “one can’t help falling in love” to paraphrase one of Presley’s timeless love songs.. With this album.
