Do you like speaking in front of crowds? Do you like to share your knowledge on a particular subject with others? Then the Sunnyvale Public Library has the perfect volunteer position for you! Applications are being accepted for the Library’s Volunteer Speakers Bureau which presents library programs and activities to residents.
Those interested need to complete a Speakers Bureau Volunteer application which can either be picked up from the library’s information desk or online at: volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?AP=682744934. Applicants should hear back from the library regarding their application within one week of submittal.
Potential speakers will need to list on the application the areas they are interested in speaking on and provide at least two references from previous speaking engagements. If you don’t have any previous speaking experience, you will be asked to give staff a five minute presentation on the area of your expertise.
For more information on the Speaker’s Bureau, contact Katherine Gaidos at 408-730-7300, option 5. The Sunnyvale Public Library is located at 665 West Avenue, Sunnyvale.
