David Letterman looked quite amused on last night’s airing of the “Late Show” on CBS. Sean “Diddy” Combs was the first guest on the show. It’s been a while since I’ve seen him on TV, perhaps because I don’t watch enough of it. Either way, the first thing that made me crack a smile is that the rapper couldn’t stop going on about himself. He kept talking about his things- his jewelry and his ‘grill’ (which he removed from his bottom row of teeth to show everyone) in addition to other random topics about himself. When he removed the grill, Mr. Letterman proceeded to gingerly grab it with a napkin and drop it into the wine with a smile.
Diddy didn’t stop there! He went on about how he wanted to own a football team. From that it went to him talking about the Brett Favre sexting scandal…which opened up an entire conversation of Mr. Combs talking about how wonderful this mobile phone activity is. He went on telling David Letterman that you should send ‘sexts to your loved ones’ and started telling him which angles are good to take pictures of your privates. He also gave the advice that it’s not such a good idea to include your face in these pictures. Really Diddy? Our late night host quickly cut off the conversation and went to a commercial break. Obviously, a conversation about Sean Comb’s own ‘junk’ was quite uncomfortable. Not only that but going on about an activity -in regards to a scandal involving married football star Favre- wasn’t very professional.
I am pretty sure that he was intoxicated. What he was intoxicated with I am unsure of, but I believe it was alcohol. His eyes kept looking skyward about the room as he talked. I for one, was quite entertained. It’s not everyday I can see a drunk celebrity rambling on about nonsense. I do however, wonder how his sixteen-year-old son feels. I would be so embarrassed if that was my parent!
The second half of the show featured the star of Easy A, Emma Stone. Loved her interview; she is sweet candid and humorous -but I still found Diddy’s chatter the most entertaining.
