Black Friday and Cyber Monday are definitely about great sales. But in order to get to those great deals you have to handle the rude shoppers and long lines. However, it doesn’t all have to be so hectic. The smartest move you can make is to plan your shopping ahead of time.
Strategize with your team shoppers. Best time to strategize is after your Thanksgiving meal. It is imperative to shop with more than one person. You will need one person to stay home and look for those bargains online that you will not be able to get otherwise. Make sure everyone know their budget, and are prepared to only go over their budget by a few extra dollars. The great deals are going to be very enticing so be prepared to spend a little more than what you expected.
Get plenty of rest. After your big Thanksgiving dinner, and all the guests are gone its time to think about resting for your shopping experience. But before you close your eyes to fall asleep, set your alarm clock, make sure you have your clothes laid out beside your bed. There will be no time to waste. After all that is done it’s time to fall asleep.
Arrive 1 hour early. If the doors open at 4am, get there at 3am. This will be the only way to scope out the crowd and see your running competition. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and good running shoes. You can stay in your car until you see a short line forming. As soon as you see the first couple of people start forming the line it’s time to jump in line as well. If you arrive and the line has already started, you need to get in line as well.
Send everyone in different directions. No one shops together on Black Friday unless you are hitting the electronics. If there is something that you know will be too heavy for you to lift you need a second person with you. Prepare yourself ahead of time for this. Shopping as a team, and keeping one or two people at home conquering the Black Friday Internet deals is a sure way to score big. But your shopping task is not over after Black Friday’s sales, you still have to conquer Cyber Monday.
Cyber Monday is a lot easier. But you still have to be up pretty early to deal with the online shoppers who have synchronized their watches with their favorite online retailers. If possible set your team up the same way as you did on Black Friday. If possible everyone gets online at the same time and shop for those specific items on their Cyber Monday list.
Plan ahead by looking at all the retailers online shopping deals. Make a list of the hot items that you plan on purchasing. Don’t forget to have your coupon deals handy. You do not want to miss out on any percentages that are being taken off merchandise. Each team shopper needs their list with coupon codes listed beside them. This holiday season is all about saving whether it’s on Black Friday or Cyber Monday
