“In every country and in every age the priest has been hostile to liberty; he is always in allegiance to the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection of his own, (Think Exist, 2006)”
These are the detailed plan for Operation Special Delivery to Support Command Civilian Contractor Security Services, the Midnight Light Brigade, on the security detail responsible for delivering a team of medical personnel, medical supplies, and food to medical outpost station called Oasis in the southern province of JaKuu. Jakuu represents the Central Territories in the southern Gulf States conflict over which tribe in entitled to absolute control of religious government, tribal law, and oil revenues. Dictatorship and tribal wars have ravaged the region and people through fear for centuries while a few are optimistic the region will be democratized.
Intervention of major world governments has brought private security contractors to the region to provide additional security services not directly the venue of the military presence assigned to the region. The Midnight Light Brigade works as a security support and back up system to western powers invested in resolving the regional conflict. The Use of Force like Justice is the Last Stop to Influence Desired Outcome.
The outpost, Oasis, is five miles inside the no roam zone in the Southern Province of Jakuu. The no roam zone has been agreed to by all factions as a safe zone for all parties with operation inside Oasis. The challenge to the outpost is in accessing Oasis while moving through hostile geography across the red zones controlled by different tribal factions. The Khamees and Onnis war with each other over ideological approaches to the same religion.
The Mission to Oasis from north of the red zones will require seven heavily armored vehicles, BTR-T Heavy Armored Personnel Carrier, and one heavily armored drone. The BTR-T’s standout design mounts a modern 30 mm automatic gun and missile defense response. BTR – T weapon system can take out light armored ground targets, air targets, and heavily armored ground targets.
The BTR – Ts will transport the Special Delivery constituents and components to Oasis. Crew space accommodates up to seven. The BTR – T’s counter measures include smoke screens, and explosive reactive armor (ERA) protection (Enemy Forces, 2006). The Use of Force like Justice is the Last Stop to Influence Desired Outcome.
Three security personnel will accompany each heavily armed vehicle. Three tactical teams of two and the drone heavily armored vehicle will back up the mission. The drone will act as decoy distraction in the primary red zone while the mission is underway. These combined activities will implement diversionary tactics in the red zones to intentionally draw the attention of factional authorities and their resources away from the mission.
Security personnel will manage these responsibilities. One will operate the vehicle. One will manage communications and surveillance. One will manage weapons systems.
The security detail route requires travel through a red zone with intelligence indicating the presence of active hostiles. Hostile objective is to prevent access of movement to and through the red zones. The tactical teams of two will provide diversionary tactics at the beginning of the operation and join the mission convoy as when clearing the red zone perimeter. The Use of Force like Justice is the Last Stop to Influence Desired Outcome.
The mission team in the operational field will total 27. This includes 21 security personnel in the BTR – T’s and 6 on the three tactical teams of two. Their mission is to move a team of 12 doctors, nurses, and medical technicians to Oasis. This grows the mission contingent to a total of 39.
The medical supplies and food delivery totals 4,000 pounds. From initiation of mission into the red zone until entering the no roam zone will take a total of 97 minutes, all things going according to plan. This includes the 17 minutes necessary to traverse the chosen red zone of the Western Rim.
Civilian support teams are based north of the red zone by 29 miles in circle circumference around the red zone. The red zone must be crossed for delivery. Intelligence has determined flying over the red zone by chopper would provoke surface to air weaponry and the risk of total failure of the mission. Further intelligence reveals greatest danger traversing a red zone is the red zone through the Jufaa Province of the central sector of Jakuu.
