Week 10 – RB Rankings
1. Arian Foster – Hou = @Jac
The MVP for fantasy football teams so far this season, Foster is a dream RB who offers exceptional rushing and receiving ability. A matchup against the lowly Jaguars defense should not slow Foster down this week, as he seems destined for another 100 rushing yard performance, while likely tallying around 150 total yards to go along with 1-2 touchdowns.
2. Adrian Peterson – Min = @Chi
A matchup against a stingy Bears defense could make you question Peterson’s stat potential for this week. But the truth is, Peterson is the safest bet in the Vikings offense, and he should be looking at 20 plus carries for 100-150 total yards and 1 touchdown.
3. Chris Johnson – Ten = @Mia
If just one player on the Titans offense will benefit from the addition of Randy Moss, Johnson should be that guy. While there is no clear advantage for Johnson against the Dolphins defense in this matchup, it seems reasonable to expect the typical 100-150 total yard performance with a touchdown possible from Johnson this week.
4. Maurice Jones-Drew – Jac = Hou
An absolute outstanding matchup for Jones-Drew, it is awfully hard to bet against him this week if I am a Jones-Drew fantasy owner. Coming off the bye week could easily help Jones-Drew as well, so it seems reasonable to expect stats in the range of 100-150 total yards and at least 1 touchdown in this game.
5. Jamaal Charles – KC = @Den
Charles could easily tally outstanding stats in the range of 150 total yards and 1-2 touchdowns against a terrible Broncos defense this week. However with Thomas Jones also in the mix and taking away potential stats, it is hard to guess at just how good Charles will be this week. Yet I think one thing is certain, and that is the fact that the Chiefs could run the ball over 40 times in this game.
6. Frank Gore – SF = StL
The Troy Smith effect did not hurt Gore in the 49ers last game, and now fresh off the bye week, even bigger things could be in store for Gore this week. Expect 25 rushing attempts, and stats in the range of 100-150 total yards and 1 touchdown as well.
7. Rashard Mendenhall – Pit = NE
After Peyton Hillis ran all over the Patriots defense last week, Mendenhall who offers a similar running style to Hillis, could easily be looking at 100 rushing yards and 1-2 touchdowns.
8. Ray Rice – Bal = @Atl
Not a great matchup, but not a terrible matchup either. Expecting Rice to be involved in around 100 total yards is likely, and a touchdown could be in store as well.
9. Ahmad Bradshaw – NYG = Dal
The Cowboys defense has been downright terrible over the past few weeks, and with enough pressure on the secondary to stop Eli Manning and the passing attack, Bradshaw could be the guy who benefits the most as plenty of running lanes could be wide open. 100 total yards and 1 touchdown is easily within reach.
10. Michael Turner – Atl = Bal
Tough matchup against a solid Ravens run defense, so it would not be surprising to see the Falcons offense turn to the pass a lot in this game, especially considering the fact that the Ravens defensive weakness has been stopping opposing passing attacks this season.
11. LeSean McCoy – Phi = @Was
As the Eagles younger Brian Westbrook clone, McCoy always offers the possibility for 100 total yards and 1 touchdown. This week is no different.
12. Steven Jackson – StL = @SF
Not a great matchup, but with Sam Bradford playing well and keeping the defense honest, running room should continue to be there for Jackson. 75-100 rushing yards and 1 touchdown is possible.
13. Jahvid Best – Det = @Buf
While the early season hype surrounding Best has worn off in fantasy football leagues, this is the week that you will want to get Best back in your starting lineup. With Matthew Stafford out again, Best could be looking at 20 plus touches in this game, and stats in the range of 100-150 total yards and 1 touchdown is not out of reach.
14. Thomas Jones – KC = @Den
If there is anything more to Jamal Charles’ injury that what the Chiefs are letting on, then Jones could be in store for a huge game against a Broncos paper thin run defense this week.
15. Knowshon Moreno – Den = KC
Moreno could be looking at 100 rushing yards in this game, but if the Broncos defense gives up a lot of points and the offense needs to play catchup, then you can imagine the Kyle Orton show will be out in full force.
16. Peyton Hillis – Cle = NYJ
Tough matchup against a very good Jets run defense, but at this point in the season, it is hard to bet against Hillis.
17. Matt Forte – Chi = Min
With offenses attacking the Vikings defense with plenty of screen passes this season and being successful, Forte is the ideal RB for that scheme. 5-10 receptions and over 100 total yards is definitely possible for Forte in this game.
18. Cedric Benson – Cin = @Ind
Good matchup for Benson, but the Bengals offense just has not done anything special to think that Benson will be able to tally a great game this week even though the matchup is clearly in his favor.
19. LaGarrett Blount – TB = Car
With 20 carries likely for Blount in this game, he should have not problem tallying at leat 75 rushing yards. And if all goes well, it would not be impossible for Blount to tally 100-125 rushing yards and 1 touchdown as well.
20. LaDainian Tomlinson – NYJ = @Cle
All the talk of Tomlinson receiving less touches makes him an iffy play this week….even against the Browns.
21. Fred Jackson – Buf = Det
Jackson has not light up the Bills offense with his stats, but if you are a fantasy football team in need of a starting RB option this week, Jackson who is available in 50% of leagues should be your pickup. 75 rushing yards and 1 touchdown is possible against the Lions this week.

23. Ryan Torain – Was = Phi
24. Marshawn Lynch – Sea = @Ari
25. Donald Brown – Ind = Cin
26. Tim Hightower – Ari = Sea
