Week 6 – TE Rankings
1. Antonio Gates – SD = @StL
With the Chargers passing game hitting on all cylinders right now, there is no reason for Gates to leave his post as the #1 fantasy football TE. Expecting stats in the range of 75-100 receiving yards is nearly guaranteed, and a touchdown is once again very likely for Gates this week as well.
2. Dallas Clark – Ind = @Was
With not much of a running game to speak of for the Colts, the Peyton Manning air show should be on full display in this game against a bad Redskins pass defense. Stats in the range of 75-100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown is easily within reach for Clark this week.
3. Vernon Davis – SF = Oak
Finally showing a sign of life, Alex Smith was able to find Davis for 104 yards and 1 touchdown in last weeks game. A matchup at home against the Raiders could easily have Davis pushing the 100 receiving yard mark once again, with a touchdown possible as well.
4. Chris Cooley – Was = Ind
Excellent matchup for Cooley, as the Colts defense has struggled to cover opposing tight ends this season. Stats in the range of 50-100 receiving yards is easily within reach for Cooley in this game, and a touchdown is an excellent possibility also.
5. Dustin Keller – NYJ = @Den
Even with all the solid WRs at Mark Sanchez’s disposal, Keller has easily taken over as Sanchez’s favorite target. 50-80 receiving yards is likely, and a touchdown is not out of the equation either.
6. Tony Gonzalez – Atl = @Phi
After Roddy White, Gonzalez is the best receiving option in the Falcons offense, and Matt Ryan has clearly utilized his tight end so far this season. And after the Eagles just gave up over 100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown to tight end Vernon Davis last week, you have to like the chances of Gonzalez putting up solid stats in this game. 50-80 receiving yards is a sure bet, and a touchdown is possible also.
7. Aaron Hernandez – NE = Bal — SLEEPER / WAIVER WIRE PICKUP
The departure of Randy Moss should open up a plethora of playing time for Hernandez, who easily has the potential to become nearly uncover able for defenses. A huge game could be in store for Hernandez this week, as stats in the range of 75-100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown is definitely possible.
8. Zach Miller – Oak = @SF
Luckily for Miller, when Bruce Gradkowski left with an injury in last weeks game, Jason Campbell came in and picked right up where Gradkowski left off, as Miller was able to tally 6 receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown. So all in all, whether Gradkowski or Campbell is the QB for the Raiders this week, Miller should still be good for his usual yards. 50-80 receiving yards, with a touchdown possible.
9. Brent Celek – Phi = Atl
With Kevin Kolb back at QB, Celek has once again regained his value as a fantasy football TE. Assuming Kolb starts again this week, Celek has a chance at tallying stats in the range of 50-75 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
10. Kellen Winslow – TB = NO
With Josh Freeman getting more and more comfortable as a starting QB in the NFL, Winslow will continue to be a solid fantasy football starting TE option. A matchup against the so-so Saints defense should have Winslow eyeing 50-75 receiving yards easily, and a touchdown is well within reach.
11. Jermichael Finley – GB = Mia / injury ?
After suffering an injury in last weeks game, the jury is still out on Finley’s status for this week.
12. Greg Olsen – Chi = Sea
13. Tony Moeaki – KC = @Hou — SLEEPER / WAIVER WIRE PICKUP
