A poem of understanding that we all eventually come to. Or let us hope so. Please read page two and take note of some writers who go that extra step in passing their message along. Thank you.
Look into my eyes, what do you think you see?
Just another writer’s opinion, it’s nothing new.
But tonight I found your justice deep inside of me.
Does it matter, matter to you?
History can teach us what is in print
as the readers take their own form off the edge.
And credit is due to the source involved
or at least the source that’s read.
But tonight I’ve found some justice deep inside of you.
When I read your message it peered inside of me.
So there’s more than meets a writer’s reading mind.
Look into my eyes, who do you see?
War and terrorists, this heart can sense some wrath.
Injured and wounded, inner city protests again.
911, health care woes, taxes hit each class
readers imagine the moment as if it happens to them.
And it’s easier to write it, safer to envision
the stories passing by.
A different day, another comment
as we look life in the eye.
When I’ve found some truth inside your words
it’s not the news or angles entwined to mend.
But the message reads loud, louder than most
if you only knew my friend.
Tonight I have to recognize, realize
how thick it weighs on me.
How you come to pass, blindly by the Lane.
Look into these eyes, if you can see.
As we try our best, the same lines we grasp
freedom within ourselves.
As the readers would find, perhaps in time
freedoms inspired from us as well.
And there is no shame in helping others out.
Take a moment to share this piece.
But most of all, divided we fall.
Look in my eyes and then you’ll see.
Note: The AC news writers are an excellent source of information. But remember to read each story with an open mind. No one intends to offend – it’s not their nature. Their stories reflect a footprint in the sands of time. Look into their eyes and tell them what you see.
There are a couple of writers that deserve a moment of your time. They post articles today on Facebook in hopes to spread their message outside of AC. I admire that. So, please relay the favor by checking them out. And feel free in skirting my favorites for I can assure you that they do not disappoint.
Lyn Lomasi, one of the kindest writers you will ever come across, is a gifted woman that offers her time unselfishly. I could list all of her talents but that would take all night. Take a moment.
John Myers, a guy that steals my heart every time he mentions Mary J. Blige, is not only intelligent he offers me another reason why freedoms in the U.S. matters. Take a moment.
Richard Banks, once business management turned writer, has some great ideas to share. Check him out. Take a moment.
Tony Payne, a face new to me that I can suggest to keep up with. And even though I may poke fun at the U.K. sometimes it is only to be taken lightly. If United Kingdom was full of Tony’s then it would be hard to find a problem with the place. Take a moment.
Have a good night and a better tomorrow.
