Perhaps you haven’t heard from me lately. Perhaps you’ve left a comment on my articles and wondered, “Yo, are you out there, Lorraine?” You, my faithfuls, are faithful followers but thinking now that I don’t know you at all.
No comments alerts
Here’s my bad deal from the new AC from Yahoo!: I’m not getting email alerts when you leave a comment on my articles.
The new AC revamp was said to include only a new name and color scheme. Or so we were told. Well, my involvement on the new AC from Yahoo! no longer includes emailed alerts to comments on my articles. This puts me out of touch with my most loyal readers, the ones who thoughtfully comment on my writing, whose articles I read in return and comment on as well.
Yells for help go unheard
I put in a request for “help.” Or two. Or maybe by now it was three. No response comes my way nor an unannounced, silent fix of the problem. It continues, despite that the last little box on my email settings is checked. I tried unchecking it, but that doesn’t work. Restoring the check mark, I’m hoping for a miracle, but even that will take 24 hours they say, if it happens at all.
Getting by, by getting around it
I’m getting around the problem by tuning in to my own articles and checking for comments. Maybe this is the intention at AC Yahoo! But me reading my own stuff is rather beside the point, don’t you think? I’d like to be reading YOURS, but AC has chosen, intentionally or not, to send me back to myself.
That’s a lot of counter productivity if you ask me, but nobody did. In fact they’re ignoring me entirely. So, this is my way of drawing AC’s attention to my problem and to recognize the followers who have gone unacknowledged-but not unappreciated-by me.
Stay, grin, and bear, but do not ignore
So, stay with me, folks. I implore you. And, all right already, I implore AC Yahoo! to please fix the darn problem. Enough with the ignoring!
