In this day and age, many companies and organizations are adopting a rewards program to use when you shop at their establishment. Places like Speedway Gas Station have a very successful program that awards points based on what your purchases are and what amounts you get. At times they run promotions where if you use your rewards card you get a couple cents off of your gas price, per gallon. Although it’s only a couple cents, every little bit helps.
Babies R Us is another place that offers specials like that. They implemented a reward program in 2008. They started off by giving deals in which you got a box of diapers free after purchasing nine and special coupons in the mail. People are given cards that they can use in the store or attach to their keychains.
But the Internet has their own version of reward programs. Mypoints – www.mypoints.com has been around for quite some time. They are located in San Francisco and you get points every time you click on an email that comes straight to your inbox from them. As the points add up, more opportunities become available to you. You can exchange your points for gift cards to many different locations. You can also play games, answer surveys, or participate in special offers to receive points.
Inbox Dollars – www.inboxdollars.com has the same concept. However, instead of points you get monetary amounts, typically very small amounts, for clicking on emails and answering survey’s. In my experience, it is very difficult to be able to do survey’s because you never seem to qualify for what they have available. Also, the emails are a couple of cents per click, at best, and you can’t redeem for a check until you have reached $30.00, which takes forever. I have had Inbox Dollars for two years and have only ever gotten one check. I am close to getting another one, but it’s been slow going.
A really popular one, and my personal favorite, is Swagbucks – www.swagbucks.com. They have it all. You can get bonus points (8 total) daily for just using the toolbar, checking to see if there are any new special offers, answering a daily poll, and checking to see if there are any survey’s available for you to complete. Then you can get points for searching the Internet through their site’s search engine – similar to Google – and finding clues for additional “Swagbucks”. I always redeem my Swagbucks for Amazon gift cards, and average two $5 giftcards per month. I love swagbucks. You can sign up under my name if you are interested in seeing what it’s all about! swagbucks.com/refer/krisanicamee (You will start out with 30 free swagbucks!)
Have a great weekend everyone!
