Remember the first time you went kite flying as a kid, or adult? When flying a kite I like to lay on the ground and pretend I’m up in the sky riding the kite. What it’s like to Fly a Kite poem. Kite poetry where every line rhymes with another.
not to much, just right;
time to go outside to fly a kite.
Set it free, unroll the tether,
Pretend to be the brothers Wright
or lie on your back and climb the string
to picture the view from the point of the kite.
As birds fly by they sing,
and spy your cloth wing without a feather;
from so far up, it’s quite a sight.
