For Call of Duty fans, the wait is almost over.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to make its mark on the video game market this year. The first-person shooter title is developed by Treyarch and published by Activision and will be released for PC (Microsoft Windows operating systems), the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Nintendo DS consoles.
The game was officially announced back in April of this year as the seventh installment of the Call of Duty series.
No doubt about it, Black Ops is one of the most highly releases of the year, so when will gamers be able to play this latest addition to the popular Call of Duty franchise?
Official Release Date
The official release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops is November 9, 2010.
All versions of the game will be released on that date.
Midnight Launch Parties
So, will retailers have midnight launch parties? Probably.
While the major retailers like GameStop, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy have yet to announce any midnight release parties, they should very well be expected.
Gamers should expect various GameStop locations to host such events on the night of release, November 9.
Massive Pre-Order Sales
Just to give you an idea of how popular Black Ops already is, pre-order sales for the game have already surpassed Modern Warfare 2.
