This is a favorite of locals and who know the rules about cash/local checks, and the carts don’t leave the store. Employees are helpful and there are signs to inform you of what produce is in-season.
Freshfields Farm – Fresh fruits, vegetables and fresh meats with prices you can’t beat. Every item is always fresh and great fast service. Orlando Farmers Market – Lake Eola Park, Corner of E. Central Blvd & N. Eola Drive, Downtown Orlando 10am to 4pm, every Sunday, free parking on the street, paid parking garages on S. Oceola Avenue and N. Eola Drive. Orlando Farmers Market is a dog friendly, open-air market with free entertainment. This farmers’ market is a mix of arts, crafts, and prepared local foods – made with local produce. On the day that this writer attended there was one produce vendor, the rest were prepared foods (picked hot peppers, fresh made kettle corn, local raw honey, roasted fresh corn, multi-ethnic foods from Jamaica, Greece, America, Turkey, Guatemala and more, it is worth the visit and a Sunday stroll around the Park.
