Village Venture and Children’s Costume ParadeIf you are looking for a great family event to get you in the Halloween spirit then you may want to attend the Village Venture in Claremont, California. This annual fall themed event features over 450 booths selling everything from Delicious foods to homemade pottery. The event kicks off with children, adults and even pets in their best costumes lining up at the corner of Harvard and Bonita streets at 9:15 a.m. to take part in the annual Claremont Children’s Costume Parade. At 9:30 a.m. the parade begins to wind along the streets of the Claremont village while hundreds of onlookers cheer the participants on. After the parade children can trick or treat the various businesses and vendors or play Halloween themed games while their parents browse the many vendor booths and get a head start on their Christmas shopping or enjoy the musical entertainment from various local groups. This years Village Venture will be held on Saturday, October 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Village Venture is located in the downtown village area of Claremont. Free parking is available in the parking structure on First Street and in the Metro link Parking lot also on First Street. Free Shuttle service is offered every ten minutes from St. Ambrose Episcopal Church,830 W. Bonita Ave., Claremont and the Youth Activity Center at Indian Hill Blvd at Scripps Drive in Claremont. City of Claremont Halloween Celebration
If you are looking for a safe and free alternative to door to door trick or treating then you may want to attend the city of Claremont, California’s annual Halloween Celebration located in the Claremont Village. This years event will be held on Sunday, October 31 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., which still leaves you plenty of time for other Halloween activities. The Halloween celebration is open to children from 2 to 12 and features a variety of free games, roving entertainment and plenty of trick or treating opportunities as local businesses open their doors and hand out candy to costumed trick or treaters. Fall Into Fun
Granite Creek Community Church in Claremont, California puts on one of the best free alternatives to door to door trick or treating in the city of Claremont. Called Fall into Fun this free event features dozens of themed game booths handing out lots of great prizes and candy to children of all ages, lots of free activities such as climbing walls, bounce houses, train rides, pony rides and giant slides. There’s even a separate area for the little ones to play.Besides the free games and activities Granite Creek’s Fall Into Fun event also offers lots of yummy food for purchase including burgers, hot dogs, cold drinks and baked goods.This years event will be held on Sunday, October 31 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Everyone including pets are encouraged to attend in costume.
