When the holiday season rolls around, all the children want to do is to see Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas. Of course there are always the photo opportunities and chances to show previous pictures to older children of when they were younger. In today’s technologically advanced age, there are also many websites where Santa can be found. So where do parents take their children to see Santa today and where can they find him online?
• The Mall – Every mall has a winter wonderland where Santa and his elves are ready to take pictures and give the children a small treat which is usually a candy cane. They can sit on his lap and the elves take their photos. The lines can be long for these chances to see Santa so get to the mall early if you want to avoid this hassle. Bring some snacks and something for the kids to do to keep them from getting bored waiting in line. You can even have a second adult take them Christmas shopping for you while you hold their place in line.
• Winter Festivals – Ever city has its own version of a winter festival. There is always a Santa in residence ready to hear all the secret wishes of children. Again, the lines in these festivals can get quite long so get an early start to avoid them.
• NorthPole.com – If you do not want to fight with the huge crowds to take your children to see Santa, you can always go to NorthPole.com and allow your children to play in the virtual world there. This is not just a place to see Santa, but is a fully interactive website that offers games and challenges as well as plenty of giggles.
• Santa Tracker – On Christmas Eve, you can follow Santa around the world by using the Norad Santa Tracker at NoradSanta.org. Starting on December first, this tracker is up and running and ready for your little ones to watch him as he traverses the globe delivering all the presents to the good little girls and boys.
The great thing about Santa is that he can be found just about anywhere after December first and in most cases the day after Thanksgiving. Children love to have the chance to sit on his lap but when this is not a viable option, there are many websites that offer Santa and Christmas related activities. You do not have to stand in line nor do you have to put up with bored children when you are in the comfort of your own home.
