Nowadays, it seems as if every Youtube video has a Justin Bieber-related comment underneath it.
This is a virtual epidemic that has taken over the music video section of the popular site and people are wondering why it ever came to this.
For those who don’t know about the pop culture trend of “Bieber Fever,” Justin Bieber is a pint-sized teen idol and R&B lite singer who sings the hit song “Baby” which features rapper Ludacris.
Bieber is the top trending celebrity on Twitter virtually every week and his popularity shows little sign of diminishing.
His music videos have gotten insane amounts of Youtube hits, but recently, lots of Internet action has taken place regarding the singer.
Some groups have lashed out against him, organizing calculated “raids” on his videos with dislike comments and other anti-Bieber comments.
And other have taken to commenting about Bieber on every single Youtube.com video. Sample comments about Bieber include “The 37 people who disliked this video must be Justin Bieber fans and don’t know what good music is” or things of that nature.
Or they compare Bieber’s songs to the other artists’ in the comments section. Regardless of what type of vide you click on, from rap to rock and everything in between, it seems as if Bieber’s name is mentioned in the comments section.
The guess here is that Bieber’s ubiquitious nature shows the power of Internet marketing and that we’ll likely see many more Bieber-type musicians in the coming years.
Even though people are tired of all the comments, it seems Bieber is just a part of Youtube that seems here to stay because he gets a rise out of people on Youtube videos and that’s not likely to change anytime soon, until his popularity begins to wane that is.
