Get ready, Bachelor fans- Brad Womack is back.
In what has been the worst kept secret in television since the American Idol judges announcement, according to Bachelor blogger Reality Steve, ABC’s The Bachelor Season 11 star Brad Womack is slated to be back for another go around as the Bachelor Season 15. But after his noncommittal status at the end of his first stint as The Bachelor, this time will Womack find love?
Will Brad Womack Be Taken Seriously This Season on The Bachelor?
After infamously rejecting both DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft on the season finale of The Bachelor Season 11, Womack must be really serious about finding love this time. Why else would he put himself through the ringer again? It’s not as though Womack needs fame (he’s infamous enough already) and he certainly doesn’t need the measly stipend ABC will pay him (he’s a successful bar owner).
No, it seems as though Womack may be out to prove the naysayers wrong and show that he’s not a noncommittal player and that he’s really ready for love.
Will Bachelor Fans Watch as Womack Tries Again?
Um…ABC could cast Elmo as the next Bachelor and people would watch. Train wreck or not, it’s entertainment.
But according to Us Magazine, some Bachelor watchers are none too thrilled with Womack’s return as the season 15 Bachelor. View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck groaned, “He didn’t have enough choices before? How many women do you need, Brad?”
Would he even dare to pull another Womack?
“Pull a Womack” is Bachelor-speak for picking no one at the end of the Bachelor journey. Brad Womack is the only Bachelor or Bachelorettecontestant to walk away single at the end of his season. But if you look at how many Bachelor/Bachelorette relationships failed within months after the show’s end, it seems like Brad Womack was one of the smartest and- I’ll say it- most considerate bachelors ever on the show.
That said, Womack received so much flack after he walked away from his Bachelor stint still a single guy, I’d find it highly unlikely that he’ll pull another Womack. While he may not walk away engaged, he will most certainly walk away dating.
You can catch the official announcement of the Season 15 Bachelor during Monday night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars on ABC.
The Bachelor Season 15 will air in January 2011 on ABC.
