As we wait for tonight’s results on America’s Got Talent, Michael Grimm has to be very proud of himself. He gave viewers his best performance and came out on top!
Michael Grimm ditched his guitar so that he could perform better to the audience. This was a risk for him as he’s been very popular on America’s Got Talent singingwhile playing his guitar. The end result was fabulous. Without his guitar, Michael was able to move around the stage a bit and connect with the audience. After his brilliant performance, Michael Grimm received a standing ovation and that said everything.
Michael Grimm sang a very soulful rendition of “Let’s Stay Together”, and he reminded me a lot of Michael McDonald who also has a very soulful style.
Last night’s performance by Michael Grimm was his best but will it be enough to advance him into America’s Got Talent Top 4? He has been very popular among viewers and that alone could be enough to advance him tonight.
The problem for Michael Grimm is that most of the contestants on America’s Got Talent performed their very best last night and there were some surprises. Michael Grimm will be up against contestants Michael Grasso, Prince Poppycock, and Jeremy Vanschoonhooven who all performed pefectly.
Prince Poppycock had a stunning and patriotic performance that he dedicated to America. Although Prince Poppycock has not been one of my favorites, his performance last night on America’s Got Talent could get him voted into the Top 4 finalists. Personally, I prefer Michael Grimm over Prince Poppycock.

Illusionist, Michael Grasso also had a brilliant performance and he too could easily advance to America’s Got Talent Top 4. Then there’s dare-devil bicyclist Jeremy Vanschoonhoven whose uniqueness alone could place him in the Top 4. You have to admit, both Vanschoonhoven’s talent and Grasso’s are definite Las Vegas acts. Will both these acts beat out Michael Grimm? It could be interesting.
Fighting Gravity is another talented group on America’s Got Talent with a definite Las Vegas type of act. They did not perform their best last night, however, and it will be interesting to see whether or not voters will overlook that or eliminate them from the Top 4.
Then there’s the dancing stars, Anna & Patryk who should be on Dancing with the Stars. These 12-year olds are like watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers perform. They could be voted into America’s Got Talent Top 4 not only because they’re sensational, but because they’re apt to get a lot of sympathy votes. Last night, as they began their performance, Anna fell as she was descending stairs to the stage. She quickly recovered and continued without missing a step. Except for that fall, they were brilliant. Will they make America’s Got Talent Top 4?
It’s going to be very interesting to see which performers actually make America’s Got Talent Top 4, and I do hope that Michael Grimm is one of them. Michael Grimm performed perfectly last night and I think deserves to be a finalist in America’s Got Talent Top 4. He’s well worth listening to and record companies should be knocking on his door.
