Winter time can be a tough time to think of things to do with your kids, especially if you live in a cold part of the country. Below find some great events for you to do with or bring your kids to this season in Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia.

2) Stellwag’s Hidden Acres Farm
116 Hartford Road
This place does not advertise big because they don’t need to. A wonderful farm that sells great flowers in warm weather, has hayrides in the fall, also has “Sleigh Rides” after Thanksgiving until Christmas. Ride in a carriage with a blanket and bells through this beautiful farm. My kids loved it. The staff puts snowmen and winter stand-ups all around the farm for the kids to find while riding. When back inside, they usually have some kind of warm drink like cider and one of the best Santa’s I’ve seen. Never a line to sit on his lap and take a free picture.
3) Camden’s Children Garden
3 Riverside Drive
Weekends in December and January
Holiday lights, animated sculptures (lit up at night), heated tropical exhibit, Carousel and so much more day and evenings. Separate admission after 5pm.
4) Philadelphia Zoo – Single Day Camp
Single Day Camp on Martin Luther King Day
The kids don’t have school on January 17th in honor of Martin Luther King, however, they are invited to spend the day at the zoo for a “single day camp” day. On this particular camp day, kids will discover how all creatures are connected from monkeys to insects. 9am – 3pm unless you need before and after care.
