Wonka’s Sluggies Gummies are fun kid friendly snacks. They are slightly better than your average gummie because they are made with natural ingredients, including twenty five percent fruit juice. Please note, they are made from gelatin so are not for Vegans. The colors are natural also, not artificial and they are very soft and pretty.
Each pack of Sluggles Gummies has four delicious fun fruit flavors. Strawberry, Orange, Lemon and Grape. Grape is a somewhat unusual flavor which makes this a favorite with me. I am happy to say this is probably in place of a lime flavor, which I abhor. Grape juice is not used though, the fruit juice used is actually apple juice with grape flavor.
Sluggles Gummies have, ugh, shapes like slugs and bugs and ohhhh creepy snails! The package states that they are from Wonka’s Edible Garden so that explains their grubby shapes! This will be a big hit with kids that are school age and they will have fun with it. They might have to be discouraged from playing with them. They would be fun at parties for games or to decorate a garden cake.
They are small in size so I would not recommend them for very small children. However, school age children, teens and tweens gobble them up. Each creepy snail and crawly slug and ugly bug has a definite fruit flavor and has a nice texture, soft and easy to chew. They are fun because they are kind of squeaky.
They Sluggle Gummies are packaged in a red tear open soft mylar bag. Wanka’s logo is in the corner on a purple triangle. Each bug is pictured identifying it’s fruit flavor. When it is open you will find that unlike some gummies, these candies do not stick together in the package. They are easy to eat one by one. They are sweet with a very slightly tart aftertaste.
The ingredients in Sluggle Gummies are: Glucose syrup, sugar, water, gelatin, apple juice concentrate, lactic acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, sorbitol, natural flavors, vegetable and fruit juice color, cochineal color and beta carotene color.
Serving size is 12 pieces. Each serving has 160 calories and 38 grams of Carbohydrates.
