Photoscape is a very popular photo editing program, and for good reason. There are so many things you can do with photos in this program. In this tutorial, you are going to learn how to work with shapes in Photoscape. This tutorial will show you where your shapes are located, how to draw your shapes, and how to edit shapes. To get started, you can load Photoscape and open a photo you want to add shapes to. This can be a photo to practice on, you can close it without saving it so that nothing is hurt.
Opening Your Shape Tools in Photoscape
To open your shape tools, you will need to make sure you are in the Editor part of Photoscape. Then look in the bottom panel and select the Object tab. The second column from the left is where you will find your shape tools. All of the shapes in the second column can be used to draw shapes on your photos in Photoscape.
Drawing Shapes in Photoscape
You will now need to click one of the shape tools to select it. Then place your mouse on the photo and draw your shape. Draw the shape the size you want it. After the shape is on your photo, you will see the properties box in the bottom panel. This is where you will need to change your shape’s color and outline color. You can also drop the opacity if you need to, by moving the Opacity bar.
Editing Shapes in Photoscape
If you need to edit your shape at any time, you can click the shape to select it. Then you can change the shape’s color, resize it, or move it. To resize it, grab one of the corners with your mouse and drag it to the center to make it smaller, or drag it away from the center to make it larger. If you need to move a shape, you can click it with your mouse, and drag it to where you want it.
