Writing a decent article is as much about the time it takes to write one as it is the content of the article itself. The more you write, the more you get published, and the more money you make. It’s easy to turn out a great article in less than 15 minutes so long as you don’t venture too far out of your knowledge.
I keep a notebook under my laptop at all times to write down possible article ideas, and if an idea pops into my head suddenly, I break out the laptop and just start typing. Like right now. This article will likely take me about 10 minutes, simply sharing what I do every single day to write quick articles. Here is what I do daily to pump out new articles that don’t take a long time to write.
I just sit down and start typing. I rarely type about something I have to look up, and stick to things I’m trained in, like herbal remedies and caring for animals. If you stick to your knowledge base, you can quickly come up with something informative that people will hopefully read. I often write about previous jobs that I have had as well. Anything can be turned into a quick story.
Don’t pause while you’re typing. Just type. You can always backspace, but you can’t let yourself get out of the flow once you start going. Just go for it. The article will create itself.
Don’t think about whether or not the article will make decent upfront pay or not. If you type well, even if it doesn’t get good upfront pay, once it’s submitted there are always page views. The key is to get the article out there.
Don’t type longer than the article has to be. Sure, it’s great to get a 2 pager out there, but usually most of what you need to put in writing can be done in one page for a good read. How many of us go beyond the first page, anyhow? Don’t bother with “filler” sentences just to make an article longer when it’s fine just how it is.
If you’re not sure about the article and how it’s going, finish it and read it all the way through. Your 15 minute speed article may be better than you thought it would be. Don’t just automatically delete everything.
Type as quickly as you’re thinking. Often I type while watching TV, and before I know it, the article is done. If you’re typing about what you know, the words are just there.
Be confident that what you’re typing is good, and don’t second-guess yourself. This just wastes time. Type it, proof-read it, give it a once-over and submit. Time is money.
If you get an article idea while you’re typing your current article, hit “publish more content” and go for it! Keep that creative writing ball rolling until it can go no more!
The key to pumping out an article quickly is to type as you go, type on what you know about, and be comfortable with your writing abilities. After all that, you should have a great article in no time!
FYI- this article took me 7 minutes to write. Enjoy!
