The September 24th episode of Smackdown was actually a very good episode and there were also some good matches on this particular episode of Smackdown. Below is a recap of the September 24th episode of WWE Smackdown.
Smackdown started off with Kane facing off against Chris Masters. The math was predictable and Kane ended up destroying Chris Masters. However Masters did get the Master lock on Kane but Kane escaped the lock and completely destroyed Chris Masters. After Kane defeated Chris Masters he talked about how he was going to destroy The Undertaker’s soul and The Undertaker’s legend.
The newly crowned tag team champions Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre defended their titles against the Hart Dynasty. The match was very good and full of action but the Hart Dynasty could not score the win because Drew McIntyre untied the turnbuckle and slammed Tyson Kidd’s head right into the exposed steel turnbuckle, and then Drew McIntyre finished off Tyson Kidd by giving him a future shock DDT.
Chavo Guerrero squared up against NXT season two winner Kaval. This was Kaval’s second match and also Kaval’s second loss. The match was a good match but in the end it was Chavo Guerrero who ended up beating Kaval after Guerrero landed a frog splash onto Kaval. Shortly after the match Alberto Del Rio made an announcement and said that Rey Mysterio will be back on next week’s episode of WWE Smackdown and that Rey Mysterio challenged him to a match.
The Big Show fought against Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins in a handicap match. This match was a cake walk for the Big Show and the Big Show dominated the entire match. The Big Show ended up winning the match by slapping the Colossal Clutch on Archer, and Archer tapped out.
Luke Gallows beat up CM Punk in the locker room but when I came down toe the actually match, Gallows could not pull a win over on CM Punk. The match was an ok match but CM Punk ended up hitting Luke Gallows with the GTS, allowing CM Punk to get the win over on Gallows.
MVP fought against the intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler with Vicki Guerrero in his corner as well as Guerrero’s NXT rookie diva Kaitlyn. The match was good and it went back and forth but MVP ended up getting the win over Dolph Ziggler because Dolph decided to take his title and just walk away, so MVP won due to a count out. During the match Vicki Guerrero showed signs of jealousy and pushed her rookie, and then Kaitlyn pushed Vicki back much harder, and the altercation clearly left Ziggler disgruntled throughout his match.
Smackdown wrapped up when Kane came out to the ring and demanded that his brother the Undertaker face him at Hell in a Cell. A casket was then carried out to the ring by druids and Kane opened up the casket expecting to see the Undertaker but instead of the Undertaker being in the casket it was Paul Bearer. Paul Bearer sat up with his urn in hand, and then the lights went off. When the lights came back on Paul Bearer and the Undertaker was in the ring with Kane. The Undertaker launched an assault on Kane and Kane eventually ran away.
