According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, General Wax & Candle Company of North Hollywood, CA, has voluntarily recalled two of their products. This recall was released November 23, 2010.

Approximately 33,000 candles are included in this recall.
Which specific candles are being recalled?
The company’s Silver and Gold Metallic Taper Candles are being recalled. They were manufactured in the United States and sold exclusively at Yankee Candle Stores nationwide from October 2010 through November 2010 for about $2. The candles are 10 inches long and have a UPC code of 609032492687 or 609032492694, which is printed on the plastic wrapping on the candle. The price of $1.99 is also printed on the plastic wrapping.
What’s the problem?
The metallic paint on the candles can ignite, causing a fire.
What do I do now?
