During the month of November, the Ferndale City Council will be discussing potential changes in the city’s noise ordinances. There are many businesses and residents that could be affected by changes to the Ferndale noise ordinances. If you have questions, or concerns, they should be directed now to the Ferndale City Council.
The main issue at hand is the fact that many residents that live near local bars believe that they are negatively affected by the lack of regulation that they believe allows bar owners to have their music load enough to rattle their windows, or keep them up at night. I have a friend who is a Ferndale resident, and she states that she can hear the music from a local bar over two blocks away from inside her house when the windows are closed.
If you are affected by sounds form local establishments, you need to contact that Ferndale City Council as soon as possible. Let them know what changes you would like to see to the Ferndale noise ordinances in the future. I have posted a link below to where you can make your suggestions.
