Is this because DoBro recently became a residential area or is it an indication of problems at the Department of Buildings?
Or is Downtown Brooklyn haunted?
At this point speculation is rampant as the Brownstoner notes move in dates at the new 257 Gold St building, called Bklyn Gold, of as much as a month out are being given by building developers on the hopes that the CofO will be coming through by then
But seriously, why should it take this long? And why would developers be giving move in dates before the CofO is in hand? Who cares? Well, certainly the people that are waiting in limbo to move in so they can give notice on their current apartment.
This entire situation is eerily similar to what occurred this last December – January with 257’s sister building 277 Gold. All did end well there after weeks of waiting, however, so hopefully it shan’t be long for 257 either.
For now it sounds like hopeful residents of 257 Gold will just have to continue to be patient though, as they bear the brunt of DoBro’s continuing growing pains.
