Multiple blog sites (Brownstoner, Brooklyn Heights Blog) have been receiving tips from readers in recent days regarding the new café that’s opened up at 113 Court St in the spot where Yogo Monster used to be.
Reader feedback to the posts are generally positive, though a significant number of comments express skepticism that the place will survive, or that it is even a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Mcbrooklyn describes the place as a “traditional Greek diner” with sandwiches, wraps, baked moussaka, smoothies, breakfast all day, cakes, soups, and of course coffee. Mcbrooklyn also notes that at least some items are “quite reasonably priced” like the egg salad sandwich for $3.25.
According to one “tipster” on Brooklyn Heights Blog, the “emphasis seems to be on pastries and baked goods.” Another reader reported to Brownstoner that the Greek Salad was “very good” and that in fact, Z-7 will be adding to a relatively sparse range of decent lunch options on the block.
No matter how good the food is coming out of the gate, readers agree that Z-7 will have to provide menu options like muffins, that are better than what can already be found on the block, and do so reliably.
