Zentia, ChangYou.com’s third MMORPG for North America, is a fun and light-hearted game featuring thirty characters, eight classes, and hundreds of quests for fun. Choosing a class for a new MMORPG can be daunting, but this guide will help you select the best option based on your game play preferences.
Note: The ‘Talisman’ here indicates the special class-only item that each class uses to execute its skills and talents, and is as core as a weapon choice.
Talisman: Ceremonial Blades
Role: Melee, Ranged, Crowd Control
Utility: Knockdown, Stun, Root, Dispel Debuff, Buff, Bubble
The Blade Warden is a popular balanced class that, while most effective in melee, can also do ranged DPS and crowd control. It uses a special flying sword mechanic, in which certain skills “gain” flying swords, which are used to execute other special skills.
Role: Debuff, Ranged Damage, Healing
Utility: Slow, Knockdown, AoE Stun, Remove Buff, Group Buff, AoE Debuff, Heal, Resurrect
The Dark Revenant is a magical ranged class with some healing capability and a soul form which enhances their shadowy abilities, high comparable to a Shadow Priest in World of Warcraft.
Utility: Slow, Knockdown, Remove Buff, Dispel Debuff, Group Buffs, Debuffs, Bubble, Heal, Resurrection (in combat)
The Divine Enchanter is the healer of Zentia, and offers the lowest DPS of any class. No other class, however, can compare to its healing skills, and it has a few debuffs that can help a party.
Role: Ranged Damage
Utility: Knockdown, Heal, Damage over Time, AoE Damage, Buffs
The Fire Mage is another ranged DPS caster, with focus in dealing AoE damage while offering some useful support to their allies.
Talisman: Divination Tube
Role: Balanced (all roles)
Utility: AoE slow, Knockdown, Stun, Remove Buff, Dispel Debuff, Group Buffs, Debuffs, Break Root, Heal, Combat Resurrection
The Master Summoner is a pet class, in that they can call forth and direct soldiers, dukes, and kings to do their bidding. Some of their skills require sacrifice or careful use of their summons; however, the summoner can choose any role and do well.
Role: Melee damage, Tank
Utility: AoE Slow, Knockdown, AoE Stun, Root, Group Buff, AoE Debuff
The Rashka Warrior is a secondary tank and primary melee DPS class, fairly balanced and strong in solo PvE. In addition to melee skills, the warrior also has a few strong mid-ranged skills at their disposal.
Role: Magic Damage, AoE, Crowd Control
Utility: AoE Slow, AoE Knockdown, AoE Stun, Group Buff, Bubble,
The Stormlord uses thunder as its primary magic, unlike the Fire Mage who uses fire. Instead of focusing on party support, the Stormlord’s skills are more aimed to damage and crowd control.
Utility: Slow, Knockdown, AoE Stun, Root, Group Buff, Debuffs, Break Root
The pure ‘tank’ of Zentia, Vajra Guardians utilize the power of stone to draw enemy attention to them and take great amounts of damage in stead of their allies. Like Divine Enchanters, Vajra Guardians are a pure class with low damage capabilities.
