Spend time by yourself getting to know who you are. What are your fears? What are your hopes and dreams? Learn those so you can overcome them. Then begin overcoming each one, step by step.
Be yourself in every situation. Learning to be yourself can be difficult if you’ve never done this before. Begin is small situations where it is easier. Try to be yourself around family and friends. Speak up about an issue that you otherwise wouldn’t have spoken on. Be forthright and upcoming and show confidence, even if you don’t feel the confidence yet! You will, just keep trying.
Be truthful. There are many times you will be asked question if you know how to do something. Tell the truth the first time. If there is something you don’t know how to do, what you can say is that you don’t know how to do it but you are a quick learner and will be dedicated to learning the task quickly.
Dress appropriately. There is something about a person that dresses for the occasion. I always where snazzy stripped socks if I am going to an important event like an interview that I were something that makes me feel confident and sure of myself. For me, it’s socks. Find that special clothing, and where it with style!

Let go of failures. We all have personal failures in our lives. The key is learning from mistakes and moving on. They key to a truly confident person is someone who can learn from mistakes without dwelling on those past failures.
