83rd Oscar Awards – the hosting duties for the 2011 Oscars belong to actress Anne Hathaway and actor, James Franco, MSNBC reports. News came earlier Monday that the two stars will be hosts of the Oscar Awards when it airs in February 2011.
Anne Hathaway’s latest movie, “Love and Other Drugs” is thought to possibly not be a contender for an Oscar, but Hathaway may be up for one.
James Franco has been getting acclaim for his role in “127 Hours” in which he portrays real-life character, Aron Rolston, who cuts his own arm off when he’s trapped underground after a rock climbing accident.
The hosting pair was considered for the 83rd Oscar Awards in 2011 because of they represent the next generation of stars. Both are big named celebrities and everyone recalls Anne Hathaway’s opening performance with Hugh Jackman at the 2009 Oscars with her brilliant singing voice. She took the crowd’s breath away and it was an unforgettable scene for viewers.
