The long winters have hit and now are the times for waking up late and eating mid-day. Weekends are packed full of shoveling and our favorite snow sports are on TV. Weekdays are busy with traffic delays and construction that will never finish. So spend the mid-day at these top Boise Brunch Eateries and enjoy Boise’s finest.
Goldy’s Breakfast Bistro, “Goldys”
Right on the corner of Capitol and Main, this hometown favorite dishes up some of the best brunch food in Boise. With prices ranging from $4.75 for their “Veggie Benny” up to $11.95 for a three egg omelet that is served with a choice of meat, potatoes and bread, you are guaranteed to be full when you leave. For $7.00 you can’t go wrong with French toast stuffed with warm walnuts, bananas, butter and cinnamon. For only $3.50 a single order of homemade biscuits and gravy will give you a smile when you see it. Being claimed by Boise Weekly as Best Breakfast in Boise for 8 years in a row, no question Goldys will always be full. Get there early and get your name on the list, you won’t regret the wait.
Le Café De Paris If you are feeling different and want to get out of the breakfast food for brunch phase then try to hit Le Café De Paris on the corner of Capital and Idaho. The menu will surprise you with their traditional French items that will leave you satisfied and impressed. With days growing colder nothing sounds better than a French onion soup with fresh croutons and Swiss cheese. And for $4.50 who can argue. A long wine list completes the menu and will complete you when paired with a Fromage (Imported Cheeses, fresh fruit and a baguette).
Addies At Main and 5th you will see a small diner tucked off the side walk with great parking and great food. In a perfect location Addies serves you homestyle cooking and offers great prices on their menu. A hearty meal of French toast, two strips of bacon and an egg can keep anyone happy for only $4.75. I would suggest adding one of their great cinnamon rolls for $3.00 to top off the meal. When you’re done, walk a block down and enjoy a cup of coffee from Boise’s own Flying M Coffee House.
