4 Ways to Naturally Boost Your Fertility

by bogbit

Just because you’re having trouble getting pregnant doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune trying to get pregnant. There are some things that you can do at home before you spend half of your life savings at a fertility clinic. These changes are nothing big in your life, just some small things that you should start doing.

Weight

Being underweight or overweight can have a large impact when it comes to getting pregnant. Estrogen is produced from your fat cells, so if you’re underweight you’re not producing enough estrogen making it hard to get pregnant. If you’re overweight then you could be producing too much estrogen which also has a negative impact on your fertility. Start eating healthy and put on a few pounds or lose a few pounds if needed. You should start by adding whole grain foods, fruits and some vegetables. If you like fish, then added fish to your menu every so often will help you as well. Make sure that you stay away from fish that contains mercury since it can hurt the baby and when you first get pregnant, you don’t actually know that you’re pregnant.

Avoid Caffeine

Caffeine is one of them things that no one tends to agree on. They are constantly testing it, but never come out with a conclusion that seems to fit everyone’s likes. Most experts though will tell you that caffeine does some how affect your fertility. So since no one can tell you exactly how much caffeine you should avoid or what it actually does with your fertility, then you should just try avoiding it all together.

Stress

You should limit the total amount of stress that you’re under. We all know that being under a large amount of stress is bad for your body. Well stress is just as bad for your reproductive system. That’s because when you’re under a lot of stress it can increase the levels of cortisol, which is the stress hormone. When your stress hormone is elevated it can shut down your reproductive system all together making pregnancy almost impossible.

Vitamins

You should go ahead and start talking a multivitamin or a prenatal vitamin while you’re trying to get pregnant. This is because if your body is lacking folic acid then you will find getting pregnant is a lot harder then it should be. As an added bonus the vitamins will help your baby grow in its vital stages when you don’t know that you’re pregnant. So taking the extra vitamins is not going to hurt you or your baby which is why you should start taking them right away.
