Fall is a time to curl up on the couch, sip hot chocolate or tea, and read a book, right? Sure, but its also a time to party!
Join the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy folks along with hundreds of your neighbors/BFFs down on Pier 6 this coming Saturday, October 23rd, for the Fall Harvest Festival. Despite the name, we are assured that this is not a ploy to obtain free harvesting labor.
What will be harvested however, is a whole bunch of Fall and Halloween themed fun.
Activities and events include a Halloween parade, face painting, musical acts, story telling, art activities, mask making, plant planting, and pumpkin decorating. In addition, it sounds as if a vast array of “local organizations” will be hosting “activity tables” as well. There promises to be no limit to the amount of fun to be had.
Not to mention that this whole thing is also Free, which makes it, well, Free! And everybody knows that Free events are better than not free events, all things being equal. Although if Free makes you feel guilty, there will surely be many ways to spend money, donate time, or otherwise earn your keep.
Pier 6 is at Furman st and Atlantic Ave and if you need directions, look here.
