Aerie, American Eagle’s intimates brand, carries quite a few different underwear styles that fit everyone’s body differently. Each brand of women’s underwear also fits and feels uniquely, so it’s important to know which brands you like best before you spend $7 – $13 on one pair of underwear. Often on sale for 5 for $25 and occasionally 7 for $25, Aerie underwear offer a great value for the quality.
Aerie’s boybriefs have the greatest selection of designs and patterns – this leads to me to believe they are the best selling fit. Aerie’s boybriefs are the best Aerie fit for everyday wear because of their coverage leve, and comfort. The boybrief fit is described by Aerie as “super low rise, medium coverage, softest stretch cotton.” Indeed, Aerie’s boybriefs are super low rise so they will hit right on the hip but they will give enough coverage to completely cover everything that should be covered. If you’re looking for soft, comfortable, breathable underwear that won’t show over your jeans but still cover you up, the boybriefs are the best.
Unlike the boybrief fit, Aerie’s boyshorts offer full coverage as they are essentially tight shorts – they will cover you completely and go a few centimeters down your leg. Made of the same cotton as the boybriefs, the boyshort fit is also great for everyday wear if you like a little more coverage. They are also super low rise so they will not end up peeking over your pants either.
Aerie’s tangas are much more cheeky than the boybriefs or boyshorts. They do not cover up as much as Aerie’s other options, but they are still quite comfortable and offer medium coverage. Many of Aerie’s tangas are covered in comfortable lace – the lace feels identical to plain Aerie’s cotton underwear and it is great if you’re looking for an extra cute touch.
Almost the opposite of the tanga, Aerie’s bikinis are low in the back and higher around the legs and hips. Aerie’s bikini underwear are just as comfortable as other selections – it is up to you in terms of which fit looks and feels best on you.
Thongs, obviously offering the least coverage, are great if you’re wearing very low rise or white pants. Offering very minimum coverage, Aerie’s thongs are still made of the soft cotton and are sold in a large selection of cute designs and patterns.
