How many couples do you know who met online? I’m sure you know a few of them. The Internet is a pretty popular way to meet singles in your area. There are a bunch of dating sites on the Internet too. I’ll give you some tips on how to write a profile that will peak a woman’s interest.
Include a Profile Photo
You may be a bit insecure about your weight but go for it anyway. If you don’t post a photo, it raises a bunch of red flags. “Is he married”? “Is he in a serious relationship”? “Is he insecure?” In the female readers mind, none of those things are worth getting into. She’ll likely pass it by. Put in photos that show your interests. Photos of you playing basketball, photos of you playing guitar, photos of you jogging or even hanging out with friends. Keep it clean. Even if you have a set of six pack abs, do not include a shirtless photo of you. If you’re divorced, that’s fine but don’t include a picture of you with your wedding ring on. If you must include a photo like that, photo-shop the photo to hide your ring.
Would YOU Want To Date you?
When you write up your profile, loose the baggage. Many women are pretty savvy to online dating. They can spot red flags a mile away. Make your profile interesting to the point where she wants to know more. Don’t include information about your divorce or the fact that your paying child support and alimony to your ex wife. You can mention your child. Don’t lie. If you only make 20k a year, don’t say that you make 60k. When she sees you pull up in your 1994, Ford Escort with 200,000 miles on it, she’ll know you’re full of it and that you don’t make 60k a year.
If your profile is ridden with spelling errors, grammatical errors, or in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, you need a proofreader. A sloppy presentation of your profile may make her think that you’re lazy and/or don’t take things too seriously.
Ask Her Out
After you two initially contact one another, two or three introductory emails are proper. After that, you should be meeting her face to face or at LEAST speaking with her on the phone. If you do the email thing too long, she’ll think you’re just playing around and she’ll loose interest really quick. Go ahead and ask her out.
Everyone’s online dating experience is different. Some are good, some are great, some aren’t worth repeating. But if you present yourself with the real you and give a great presentation of what kind of man you are, and what kind of woman you’re looking for, weather it works out or not, you can walk away with your head held high. Good luck.
