A Halloween to Remember is the second book by Roxanne Rhoads that I have had the pleasure to review. The first was a vampire erotic story, Eternal Desire was set in New Orleans and just as hot as this current book.
I always like to point out in my reviews that I am not a huge erotic book fan. If I can finish an erotic story then it’s ok and if I review it then it is a good read. I think my southern lady like upbringing has caused me to be a prude but I believe that there are books for everyone and I review books as if I am in this case a fan of erotic stories. I ask myself several questions such as “Does it actually have a story?” and ” Are the characters believable?”
In regards to A Halloween to Remember, I have to say that it does have an interesting story and would love to know more about the two relationships in the book. They were very interesting especially the main character Adena.
I will also have to say that the story is believable (in the sense of the relationships between the characters). I know people who have enjoyed wild parties such as this Halloween one. I know I turned read and even flipped through 2 certain scenes that if I were to attend one of these parties then I would be fainted on the ground. But, I will say I allowed someone to read those hot scenes and they said that for all the books of this type that it was very well written and very GOOD.
I would recommend this short read to anyone who likes ghosts, romance, and a naughty read. I have to say that Roxanne is the master of her game. The way she describes the Victorian house and the cemetery allowed me to imagine myself there. It was a great book.
Here is a synopsis from her website:
There are two things Chrissy and Martin really love besides each other-sex and Halloween. They even bought a spooky old Victorian house with a graveyard in the back. Could they have a better place to throw a lavish Halloween party?
Adena’s not much for the crazy orgies that happen at Chrissy’s parties but she can’t say no to her best friend’s Halloween-housewarming party either. So she dresses up, arrives late and stays away from most of the swinging people and wild activities at the party. At least until she encounters the man of her dreams at midnight. Dimitri is everything Adena has always dreamed of in a man: dark, handsome, smart…but there’s something a little off about him.
When she discovers just what makes Dimitri different, Adena decides to find a way for them to be together. But will love and faith, along with Halloween magic, be enough to bring Adena’s darkly handsome lover, Dimitri, back to her before it’s too late?
Rating for this book:
I give it a 4.5 blush out of 5. The book can be obtained on Amazon.com and her blog is even more hotter at Fang-tastic Books.
