I do love many Michelina’s brand frozen food products so, when I spotted Michelina’s Lean Gourmet Breakfast Flatbreads in my local Dollar Tree store frozen breakfast section, I was intrigued. I decided to purchase this breakfast flatbread creation, try it out and write a product review all about my personal experience. This is what I discovered!
Michelina’s Lean Gourmet Breakfast Flatbread ham, egg and cheese costs only one dollar at my local Dollar Tree store. I liked that low price and it did make me want to try this new frozen food breakfast item. This breakfast flatbread sandwich contains scrambled eggs, reduced fat cheddar cheese, bell peppers, ham, all on a thick flatbread crust. That all sounded very good, but it is true, appearances can indeed be deceiving.
This frozen breakfast dish is low in saturated fat, that is true. I decided to prepare this flatbread in my microwave. I only had to vent the lid, microwave on high for two minutes and let stand in the microwave for one more minute. I then lifted the flatbread sandwich out and folded it. It smelled and looked great, I must admit. I could not wait to taste it!
When I tried Michelina’s Lean Gourmet Breakfast Flatbread, I was a bit disappointed. There was very little of everything, except peppers. Not enough scrambled eggs and not enough ham. The ham bits are very small and there is cheddar cheese, but it is almost tasteless. The flatbread is decent , but it is way too thick for the little amount of toppings in it, in my opinion. This breakfast flatbread needs more filling and work, in my opinion. Though I love many Michelina’s frozen dinners, this one left much lacking. I will not be buying it again. I rate it two stars out of five stars. Edible, but not enjoyable.
Michelina’s Lean Gourmet Breakfast Flatbreads are affordable but, I was not impressed by the taste. One of these has 290 calories. 70 of those calories are from fat. These have 7 grams of total fat, 2.5 grams of saturated fat, 60 mg’s of cholesterol, 740 mg’s of sodium, 40 grams of total carbs, 2 grams of dietary fiber, 3 grams of sugars and 12 grams of protein. This dish does have some iron, vitamins A, C and calcium in it. This product does contain wheat, soy, egg and milk ingredients.
Since I only invested one dollar in this frozen breakfast flatbread sandwich, I will say that it was interesting to try and write a product review about. It was dry and did not have enough eggs and ham in it to please me. For more information, you can visit the michelinas.com website.
