Ballet is not just for ballerinas – it’s for anyone that loves to dance, even adults that have never taken a class before. Ballet helps to tone and strengthen your muscles, increase flexibility, ease joint movement and improve posture. A new ballet class for adults is now being offered in Spencer, MA. Whether you’ve never taken a ballet class before or used to dance years ago, this class is for anyone that wants to learn some basic ballet moves while getting a great workout.
Shelly Lanciani will be teaching the adult ballet class at Chalmers on 117 Main Street. The class will be offered on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 am, starting mid-October. A free trial class will be held on Tuesday, October 19th. Students interested in the free class should call or email to pre-register as space is limited. After the free trial Shelly will be running a five-week session for $35.00.
Students can expect to do a traditional standing ballet barre and then some center work that includes short combinations of steps put together for short dances. Classical and contemporary music is used. Even adults with ballet experience will get a workout. No need to wear a tutu, just come dressed in comfortable clothes and wear socks or ballet slippers. If you have any questions or would like to register, please contact Shelly at 508-826-9540 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
